For those who knew him. John Hall posted on Kit Guitars Forum about his passing, caused by hitting his head from a fall while walking his dogs.

Really sorry to hear that. Bob was a good guy and great to deal with.

I met Bob at the same time I met Rick Turner, Richard Schnieder, Jimmy D'Aquisto and others back at an early ASIA convention in 1990 or so. What a great experience! I still have some of the wood I bought from Bob then. He struck me as a great guy. Gave me a killer deal on some koa since I was using it on ukes. Anyway, we had fun and I hate to hear of his passing, but glad it was out with his dogs.

I didn't know Bob except from a few posts made here. But catching this thread made me want to know something about him.

He did a nice interview on youtube that made me wish I knew him and if you check out his Pegasus Guitar and Uke site you'll see his work is outstanding and features a great gallery of work.

Always sad when another bench goes silent and it sure seems to be happening too often lately.

RIP Bob.

That's sad to hear. I met Bob back in 94' I think and had various interactions with him over the years. He was a really nice guy and will be missed by all I'm sure.

Bob was such wonderful asset to the luthier community. He will be dearly missed. I took a workshop with him in 2012 and liked him immediately.

Pegasus guitars? I have a link to that on my reading list; what is it for? Pretty nice wood for go-bar decks.
I have a couple dozen of those kite sticks, and an adjustable table for the bottom deck; so I don't know why I saved that.
